What to bring & what to wear
* Bring water to sip through the class.
* I have spare mats and sell them.
* Wear clothes which are easy to stretch in. Lots of thin layers with a warm outter layer is good so you can be cool if
you get warm or add layers if you cool down.
* Mostly we work in bear feet but if you get cold feet you can work in thin socks and take them off as you warm up. You
can have a thicker pair on top for relaxation at the end of the class.
* Bring a blanket for the relaxation at the end. Some people wear a hat to keep their head warm
How to stretch. What is it like in a class
* I teach a lovely, flowing form of yoga gently based on ashtanga. It has a sequence which you will learn just by coming regularly. Everybody stats yoga as they have stiff tight muscles otherwise - this is why they came. You can look like one of those stretchy people - eventually- if you take you own time and simple turn up regularly!
* You do not have be flexible, that only happens gently over time by turning up each week. It is great if you have stiff, tight muscles as they need to learn to relax. You can enjoy slowly learning to stretch, tone and relax into your own unique body without straining or pushing. If you are confused in a class you are doing too much - there is no need - stop take a break - breath - wait - join in whare you can - your body loves slow and gentle when it is learning.
* In the class I teach by demonstrating each posture or stretch and breaking it down in to simple to deeper versions so you can choose to do the posture which feels comfortable - safe - simple. As a begginer or if you are new back to yoga try to do less - stay witht the 1st or 2nd version even if you could do more. If it hurts in any way stop - you are going to fast for your muscle to let go.
* The classes have a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. If you are late it does not matter just get there when you can
and just come in and join in as you can.
* You can start any time in the term.
* You will learn lots of health tips - reflexology - mindfulness - alexander technique - healthy eating
* You can drop in or pay termly and come to any class each week.
* The classes are non religious.
* Beginners are welcome to any class as in each class there are gentle and deeper stretches to suit all levels. Please
feel free to ask any questions.
* Great to ease tight muscles and to wind down.
* Develope a strong and healthy back
* Great way of improving your posture.
* I have spare mats and I also sell them at a very reasonable price.
Bring a friend and make it a social event.
