My emphasis is to demonstrate gentle though to deeper versions of each stretch so you can start very gently and build up to the deeper stretches over time. You will learn some simple, enjoyable stretches: take some time out for yourself to stop and connect to your body: no need to be flexible or fit as the emphasis in my classes is for you to do less: bring your tired, tight muscles and gently learn how they want to begin to stretch. The more you gently stretch the more the body lengthens and relaxes. This is a wonderful skill to learn which will change all aspects of your physical, mental health and well being. If we want to practice good health for our future yoga is an essential practice.

To get to Batheaston Primary school take the turning to Northend and St Catherines.
School lane is the 1st road on the right just before the church. The best place to park is just before you turn down school lane. The large wooden school gates are on the right hand side as you walk down school lane. The hall is up the steps on the right as you come in through the gates. The entrance to the hall is through the double doors to the left of the hall.

Please park before as they will be doing some work in the hall car park soon. You can park at the train station or by the council offices car park or find a road with parking that is free like Mount Pleasent Road and walk down.
Bring water to sip.
A yoga mat if you have one, I have some spares.
Wear lots of thin layers that are easy to stretch in so you can be warm or cool and pref elastic waist.
A small hand towel

YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE FIT OR FLEXIBLE. In my class I encourage students to start with only very slow simple stretches and over time go into the deeper stretches. Everyone in my class in encouraged that less is more, not to try hard but to stay with what the body feels is pleasurable and easy. As you get used to stretching, with less effort, the body naturally becomes more flexible and toned. Simply turn up and your whole sense of well being will be in improved. My yoga is an investment in your future health as if we don't stretch our body rusts and shrinks. In the long term this will causes illness and discomfort. It is never to late to start. The emphasis in my classes is to encourage students to be gentle with their bodies and learn to find the appropriate stretch for their own body without the need to 'try hard' . Only with gentle practice over time can our busy, tired muscles begin to release and widen and lengthen.
1st class is free to try.
£9.00 per class paid in advance for the month.
